YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Representatives from the Moscow-based office of the Japanese Mitsubishi corporation met with Armenian Energy Ministry officials this week. The Mitsubishi staffers showed interest in the small hydro power plant development programs in Armenia. During their stay in Armenia they also visited the Yerevan hydro power plant–said head of the Chief Development and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Energy Robert Kharazian.
According to Kharazian–the representatives had held earlier meetings discussing the energy problems in Armenia and the possibilities of modernizing Armenian power plants with Armenian energy engineers.
