YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Of 808 candidates planning to run for parliament in 75 election districts by majoritarian election system–424 represent political forces. The highest number of candidates has been nominated by the Communist Party (63). The Republican Party nominated 62 candidates–the National-Democratic Union–45–Armenian Revolutionary Federation–41–People’s Party–39–Self-Determination Union–36–and Armenian National Movement–12.
The Republican party nominated the biggest number of candidates in Shirak region–9 candidates in Tavoush region–7 in Ararat–6 in Yerevan–Gegharkounik and Lori–5 in Aragatsotn–Siunik–3 in Kotayk and 1 in Vayots Dzor and Armavir.
People’s Party of Armenia nominated 12 candidates in Yerevan–9 in Lori–4 in Kotayk–3 in Armavir and Siunik–2 in Ararat–Gegharkounik–Shirak–and 1 in Aragatsotn and Tavoush.
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation nominated 11 candidates in Yerevan–5 in Kotayk and Shirak–4 in Lori–3 in Ararat–Gegharkounik–Siunik and Tavoush–2 in Aragatsotn and 1 in Armavir and Vayots Dzor.
The Communist Party of Armenia nominated 20 candidates in Yerevan–8 in Ararat–7 in Kotayk–6 in Gegharkounik and Lori–5 in Armavir–4 in Shirak–3 in Siunik–2 in Tavoush and Aragatsotn and 1 in Vayots Dzor.
Self-Determination Union nominated 10 candidates in Yerevan–6 in Ararat–5 in Kotayk–4 in Siunik–3 in Aragatsotn–2 in Armavir–Lori–Shirak–1 in Tavoush and Gegharkounik.
The National-Democratic Union nominated 19 candidates in Yerevan–6 in Shirak–5 in Kotayk–4 in Ararat–3 in Armavir and Lori–2 in Aragatsotn and Gegharkounik and 1 in Siunik.
The Armenian National Movement nominated its candidates in 6 regions–giving preference to Tavoush and Shirak (3 candidates). In Yerevan and Kotayk ANM nominated 2 candidates–in Lori and Armavir 1 candidate.
