STEPANAKERT (Armenpress)–Nagorno-Karabakh is recovering from strong winds that swept across the republic on Saturday toppling trees, downing power lines and causing road disruptions.
In the capital, Stepanakert, it caused power outages and widespread damage to the roofs of homes.
Local authorities estimate the amount of damages at 250 million Drams. Large-scale repair work to kicked off on Monday when a 70-member crew of builders arrived in Nagorno-Karabakh from Armenia. The reconstruction work is being supervised and coordinated by Prime Minister Ara Harutiunian.
Harutiunian said the government has enough building materials to distribute to people and entities to restore their damaged structures.
