YEREVAN (Armenpress)–No concrete proposals have been made for continuing talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict, Armenian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Tigran Balayan said on Thursday.
According to Balayan, the August 1 meeting in Moscow between the foreign ministers of Georgia and Azerbaijan resulted in statemen’s by both sides pledging to continue talks and reach an agreement on a new meeting to be held the sidelines of the 63rd UN General Assembly set for September.
The proposed meeting in New York is not set in stone, he said, noting that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs have not yet contacted Armenia with a concrete proposal for a meeting at the General Assembly.
Officials in the American Embassy in Yerevan could not say when the Minsk Group co-chairs would pay another visit to the region, despite earlier statemen’s that the co-chairs might visit to the Caucasus in September.
