YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The Greek "Missirian" tobacco company partnered up with Grand Tobacco in sharing in a joint venture on tobacco leaf processing to be based in the town of Masis. The new joint venture will begin operating next year. The "Missirian" company has already purchased the necessary equipment to be shipped to Armenia.
The factory expects to process up to 10 thousand tons of tobacco a year. It will be geared to export and will use both locally procured and imported raw materials.
