JERUSALEM (Reuter)–A petrol bomb was hurled at the Turkish consulate in Arab East Jerusalem Sunday and flammable material was thrown on the consul general’s car but no one was hurt–Israeli police said.
Police said three non-Jews were detained–one of them with an inflammable substance on his hands and singed hair.
"The primary suspect is of Armenian descent," a police spokesman told Reuters.
"Three ?minorities’ were caught–one of them with inflammable substance on his hands and his hair singed," police said.
The firebomb was thrown into the courtyard of the consulate in East Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
A second container with flammable material in it caused light damage when it was hurled at the car–police said.
