The Board of Regents of Prelacy Armenian Schools announced the appointment of Ollia Yenikomshian as the new principal of the San Francisco Krouzian Zakarian Vasbouragan (KZV) Prelacy Armenian School.
Mrs. Yenikomshian’s education background includes a Master of Art degree in Public Administration–a Bachelor of Science degree in Business–and coursework towards teaching credentials. Yenikomshian received her degree in higher education at the Golden Gate University–San Francisco.
She has been involved with the KZV Armenian School since 1989 as a member of the Education Committee and as an English Language Arts instructor–and most recently–during the 2002-2003 academic year–served the School as Director of School Development. In addition–she has been responsible for formalizing the English Department’s curriculum in preparation for WASC accreditation.
"With her years of experience at KZV Armenian School and as a well known community leader in the region–along with her administrative and educational capabilities–Ms. Yenikomshian will be able to further advance the educational growth of our students at KZV Armenian School; we have great confidence," said Board of Regents chairman Yeznik Kazandjian–Esq. "Her outstanding dedication to the Armenian community–coupled with her extensive educational background in Public Administration and Organizational Management–make her the ideal candidate for the position."
