YEREVAN (Azg/Noyan Tapan)–Germany’s representative to the OSCE Minsk Group Frank Lambach shares the viewpoint of Leonard Petrossian on the necessity of a direct Karabakh-Azerbaijan dialogue–which–according to him–will allow to establish confidence between the parties to the conflict–the German diplomat said at a meeting with Karabakh Acting President Leonard Petrossian Thursday.
The two agreed that to achieve progress in negotiations and to conclude a big political agreement is possible through mutually admissible compromise only.
Petrossian stressed that Karabakh regards international mediation as extremely important. He presented the socio-economic situation in the country and main directions of foreign policy.
Lambach–in turn–agreed to the necessity of establishing direct dialogue between Azerbaijan and Karabakh which–he believes–would help in establishing trust between the sides.
