YEREVAN (Armenpress)–On June 3-4 Armenian Foreign minister Vardan Oskanian was on a working visit in Strasbourg.
The press office of Armenian Foreign Ministry reported that during his visit Oskanian met with Secretary General of European Council Schwimmer–Secretary General of Parliamentary Assembly of European Union (PACE) Haler–representative of Luxembourg–the presiding country in PACE–Chairman of Ambassadors-Delegates Phillip and members of group on coordination of Armenians obligations’ realization.
During the meetings issues concerning Karabakh conflict’s settlement–Armenia’s cooperation with European Council and European Council’s regional programs–particularly–the opening of a regional center of "Cultural Directions" program in Yerevan–were discussed. The process of realization of the obligations undertaken by Armenia was also touched upon.
Three visits of European Council’s high officials are expected during this year. In July Secretary General of European Council Schwimmer and the Deputy Prime-Minister of Luxembourg–Foreign Minister Polfer will visit Armenia. In September the visit of PACE Chairman Schieder is planned.
