WASHINGTON – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), co-chair of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues, Monday released a statement condemning attacks by the armed forces of Azerbaijan on soldiers of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic. We present the statement below:
“I condemn these attacks in the strongest terms. The attempt to penetrate the line of contact with Nagorno Karabakh defenses was an unacceptable provocation and an attempt to precipitate further conflict.
“I also want to express my deepest condolences to the families of the four soldiers who lost their lives due to these attacks. Their dedication to protecting a young but flourishing democracy exercising its right to self-determination is admirable.
“The fact that these attacks were unprovoked and came just hours after a meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan with Russian President Medvedev as part of ongoing efforts to bring the conflict to a final peace settlement, makes the attacks that much more egregious. I continue to call on the U.S. government to reinstate Section 907 of the FREEDOM Support Act and restrict all further military assistance to Azerbaijan. We can not stand complacent as Azerbaijan makes good on their aggressive statements and engages in violent attacks.”
This formally known Alexandropol. Named after Alexander the great, is not a country, it is a region of the old Russian empire. These barbarians living there are not indigenous people. We must try to educate the world about these simple facts. However we must educate these band of barbarians the heavy cost of attacking the holy Land of Artsakh.
Mega thanks Dear Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. We Armenians cannot thank you enough for your just stand not only for the right of Artsakh’s (formerly known Nagorno-Karabakh)’s self-determination; but also for rightfully asking the U.S. government to restrict military assitance to “azerbaijan” who’s president constantly bellicose rhetoric to go to war against Nagorno-Karabakh and now the killings of four innocent soldiers who were protecting their country Artsakh. Thank you again dear Congressman, you are a man of integrity and for staying on the side of the righteous.
Sincerely yours,
Nairian
Thankyou Congressman Pallone…..” All we need for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing”…Your, Congressman ,are truly a good man !!!!!!
What ıs the role of the US ın Nagorno Karabag ? Energizıng Azerıes to attack Armenıans ın Artcakh or assıst Azerıes to start a war so the Headlınes of the Iraq occupatıon of the US would dısappear? What ıs Mrs Clınton thınkıng or ıs she?
A war btween Armenia and the Azeries would not be “headline news”.It wouldn’t even make the metro section. We have been dismissed by the FOX News types and condisended to by the CNN types.HiC doesn’t want to get involved, wich is why the Russians have taken the lead on this.A war could be a problem for them that close to home.I wouldn’t count on the US State dept or UN for any real political support if I were you.
WHATEVA THE CASE IS IT COMES TO THIS IF AZERI MAKES SUCH A FOOLISH MOVE WE WILL RESPOND I REPEAT WE WILL RESPOND WE LOVE OUR ARMENIA WILL DIE FOR ARMENIA WE ARE NOT GONNA SIT AROUND AND LISTEN TO AZERI THREATS IF THEY DO IT WE WILL DO IT HARDER AT THE END WE BECOME WINNERS CASE CLOSED
