YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A parliamentary delegation from Armenia was invited to visit the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic by that country National Assembly speaker Artur Tovmassian who completed a visit to Yerevan Saturday. The invitation–which was accepted by Armenia’s National Assembly speaker Babken Ararktsian–will mark the revival of relations between the two parliamen’s. At a recent meeting–the two chairmen reached a preliminary agreement to sign a new interstate contract to promote the strengthening and enhancement of political–economic–scientific and cultural relations. They also agreed that periodical visits by parliamentary delegations–business contacts of parliamentary commissions as well as problems of international and regional nature should be included in future talks. During his visit–Tovmassian met with His Holiness Karekin I–Catholicos of All Armenia’s and outlined the activities of the Karabakh legislature regarding socio-economic development in the Nagorno-Karabakh republic. After the meeting–Karekin I pledged $10,000 for needy Karabakh families
