YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Armen Khachatrian heads the CIS interparliamentary delegation at the consultative meeting of the 10th UN conference on trade and development in Bangkok February 3-18.
Before leaving Yerevan–Khachatrian emphasized the importance of the meeting and pointed out that each visit of the Armenian delegation–meeting and discussions of political and economic issues "are quite beneficial to the country." He reported that issues of interparliamentary relations–development and trade will be discussed in Bangkok.
Responding to the question concerning the discussion of the 2000 state budget–Armenian Prime Minister Aram Sargssian–who was seeing off the Armenian delegation–said that the budget will be discussed in detail for all the shortcomings to be revealed. As to the existence of proposals acceptable to the government–the prime minister pointed out that all the logical proposals will be discussed.
