YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The Presidential Political Council held a meeting late last week to discuss the issue of the upcoming parliamentary elections. The Council members signified the importance of the parties’ political will and readiness to hold free–fair and transparent elections.
The political forces represented in the Political Council issued a statement saying that they will make every effort for the elections to be legal.
The Council also discussed a document concerning measures regulating bread production and selling. The Council approved proposals on eliminating drawbacks in the sphere.
The Political Council held a discussion about the proposal on setting up the "Research-Analytical Council for State Development and National Security" and "Research-Analytical Center for State Development and National Security," which are aimed at solving certain problems on a theoretical basis–putting into practice the idea of a democratic state’s self-government. The Political Council decided that the formation of such structures deserves attention and sent the document to revision.
