YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–After 31 years have passed after his death–the heart of poet Paruir Sevak has been transferred to the Institute-Museum of the Armenian Genocide for preservation.
According to Lavrenty Barseghian–the director of the museum–a small monument dedicated to the "Unceasing Belfry" poem of Sevak–will be erected in the territory of the Tsitsernakaberd memorial soon.
The author’s heart will be placed inside of this monument.
The heart of the great poet was preserved by his closest friend Ashot Tadevosian–for years turned to the corresponding departmen’s in order to get permission to bury the heart in the City Pantheon after Komitas side by side with other great sons of the Armenian people. His attempts were unsuccessful.
