SACRAMENTO—Assemblymember Anthony Portantino (D- La Cañada Flintridge) has named Kevork Zeytounian, owner of Pasadena Watch Company, as the 44th Assembly District Small Business of the Year. Zeytounian was honored in ceremonies at California Small Business day in Sacramento.
“I am pleased to recognize Kevork Zeytounian for his dedication and hard work in the Pasadena business community,” stated Assemblymember Portantino. “He is a success not only because of his business acumen, but because he gives back to the community through his dedication to helping young people.”
Pasadena Watch Company opened on Colorado Boulevard in Old Pasadena in 2004. Zeytounian has been active in civic affairs through the Old Pasadena Management District and he has worked with young people to share the story of his 100-year-old father who survived the Armenian Genocide. He says the old-fashioned work ethic his father taught him is still the best way: work hard and treat your customers with courtesy.
