LA CRESCENTA—The Armenian National Committee of America has sent an alert that an amendment calling upon Turkey to return Christian Churches will likely be offered this coming Wednesday, July 20, at 10 a.m. during the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s consideration of the State Department Authorization bill.
The legislation calls upon the Republic of Turkey to honor its international commitments to return Armenian and other Christian Churches, and to fully respect the rights of all Christian communities to practice their faith in freedom.
Western Prelate Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, is calling on all faithful to contact their Representatives and urge them to support this amendment. Please encourage also family members and friends to make phone calls.
