YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–During his December 6th meeting with Armenian President Robert Kocharian–Deputy Foreign Minister of Israel–member of the Israeli Knesset Navath Massalh informed the President Kocharian of the situation in the Middle East.
The Armenian president pointed out that Armenia is interested in the establishment of peace in the region–which will allow it to boost relations with all the countries of the region. He said that the stabilization of the situation in the region will also promote economic cooperation.
Later that day–Navath Massalh met with Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian. The sides discussed the current level of bilateral relations and necessity for further mutually advantageous economic cooperation.
The sides also discussed the methods of peaceful settlemen’s to conflicts. Minister Oskanian informed Massalh of the current stage of the Karabakh settlement and the negotiations between the Armenian and Azeri presidents.
