The president of The Ukraine Leonid Kuchma arrived in Armenia yeststerday on a three-day official visit. Meetings with Armenian officials began today.
The Ukrainian delegation led by Kuchma consists of Ukrainian ministers of foreign affairs–fuel and energy–industrial policy–defense–the chairman of state committee on TV and radio broadcasting and information policy–the chairman of Union of Armenia’s of Ukraine–and other officials.
An official ceremony will be held today at President Kocharian’s residence–with a private conversation between Kuchma and Kocharian to follow.
The two leaders will hold negotiations and plan to sign inter-governmental and inter-department defense and energy agreemen’s. At the Armenian Parliament–Kuchma will meet with parliament leaders–chairmen of groups and factions. He will also visit Yerevan State University to hold meetings with professors and students–and plans to visit Dzidzernapert–the monument dedicated to the victims of the Armenian genocide.
