YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan). President Robert Kocharian and his delegation are scheduled to visit Georgia on November 20-21. The delegation will include Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Yuri Bakhshian–ministers–members of parliament and other officials–president’s spokesman Vahe Gabrielian told journalists at a briefing on Tuesday.
Gabrielian said that during the visit Armenia and Georgia are expected to sign an intergovernmental agreemen’s of cooperation in the realms of science and education.
During the visit the delegation will meet with Georgian President Edward Shevardnadze–Chairman of the Georgian Parliament Zourab Zhvania and Supreme Patriarch of Georgia–Ilia II. The Armenian delegation also plans to visit the St. George Armenian Church and a grave of the prominent Armenian poet and 18th century Armenian composer Sayat Nova in Tbilisi. The President and his party will also meet with representatives of the Armenian community of Georgia.
Gabrielian–stressing the importance of friendly and warm relations between Armenia and Georgia–voiced hope that the visit will be another contribution to the matter of development of bilateral relations.
