MOSCOW (Itar-Tass)–Russian Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov Thursday opened talks with Prime Minister of Armenia Armen Darbinian with words praising relations between the two countries.
"The Russian-Armenian relations are developing successfully both within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States and in the bilateral format–and they have a great potential for further development," the Russian prime minister said.
He stressed that Armen Darbinian–who was on a working visit to Russia–and him "will discuss questions of great significance for the two countries–including those relating to the economy–politics and the settlement of the Karabakh conflict."
"All these problems are touching immediately on Russia’s interests," the Russian head of government said.
At the conclusion of the visit several agreemen’s were signed by the two leaders.
