Raffi and Joanne Manougian have made a donation of $40,000 to the Prelacy schoolbook publishing program.
Commending the Prelacy schoolbook publishing program–the Manougian’s have already funded the preparations for publishing Dr. Rubina Peroomian’s "Hai Tahd 12" schoolbook.
A 12th grade level textbook–"Hai Tahd 12" is the continuation of "Hai Tahd 11," which was published in 1994 and discusses the Armenian Genocide–the formation of the first Armenian Republic–and the years up until the February Revolt.
"Hai Tahd 12" outlines 70 years of Soviet rule–the formation of Diasporan organizations–the Karabakh struggle that began in 1988–Armenia’s recent independence–and Robert Kocharian’s 1998 election as the current president.
