BAKU (Armenpress)The OSCE Minsk Group Russian co-chairman Yuri Merzlyakov said Tuesday that the continuing tension over Iran’s nuclear program could impact the Karabakh conflict resolution process. He said that the further processes over Iran may have a negative impact on the Karabakh conflict regulation process which may result in freezing the issue. In Baku, Azeri Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov said Tuesday that negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan should continue until the positions of the two states were reconciled. Speaking about the negotiations between the two foreign ministers in Geneva the Azeri foreign minister noted that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs offered to meet once again and clarify the positions. Mamedyarov said that the international mediators had offered the two foreign ministers to meet until the parliamentary elections in Armenia. Probably, the mediators see a necessity of conducting another meeting so that the negotiation process continues immediately after the elections, Azeri minister stated.
