YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Prime Minister Aram Sargsyan met with Armenian bankers on November 27–the government’s public relations department reported. The bankers–presenting the problems of the system–pointed out that it has a fairly developed legislative field–which does not agree with the current state of economic development–which gives rise to contradictions.
It was particularly mentioned that about 70 percent of incomes of economic agents remain outside the banking sector. Attaching importance to the improvement of the current moral and psychological situation–the Armenian government–the Central Bank and the Association of Banks of Armenia issued the following joint statement.
