YEREVAN—President Serzh Sarkisian on Tuesday congratulated Petro Poroshenko, the newly elected president of Ukraine who was elected Sunday in that country’s special elections.
In his congratulatory note, which was published on the official website of the president, Sarkisian wishes his Ukrainian counterpart success “on the road to securing the socio-economic development of the country and in resolving the issues facing Ukraine by establishing accord and unity.”
He expressed confidence that Armenia-Ukraine relations would continue to develop and said that trade and economic relations should increase and praised the centuries-long friendship that Armenians and Ukrainians share.
The new Ukrainian President is a Loser !.
His chalenge of Russias intrests in eastern Ukraine will not stand.
Arn.Sweden.
Indeed. Ukrainians “elected” the new President Poroshenko to improve the economic situation inherited from the previous president Yanukovich…
The only problem is that Poroshenko was the Minister of Economic Development under Yanukovich…
We should not worry about russias interests.Who cares? They can go to hell!
Russia will surely not let this go unpunished. They will find a way to further blackmail Armenia into further concessions.
Blackmailing Armenia could Backfire !.
Armenia is a Key for the Hindrense of a Panturkish State from the Mediterrainian to the Pasific,
a State Nether Russia-Iran-China wants.
What if Armeniaa(God forbid),
where to join this Turkish Dream and Coperate with the Turks about it,
as has Georgia ?
Russia should understand the consequenses for what could happen if Armenia would give in to the Turks.
Arn.Sweden.
“So I see what you did there with that 3/4 majority needed for impeachment thing…
Good luck with the “Anti Terror Operation”.
All those Rebel-Terrorist-Martians not recognizing your legitimacy… GET WITH THE PROGRAM, GUYS!
Thank god you didn’t declare a state of emergency, which precludes any elections, in order to use military force.
Fig leaves are important, they let you maintain that ever important illusion of moral supremacy.
And really, I KNOW I KNOW Ukrainians are facing economic collapse,
but how well HAVE your American friends been treating you? You know… CHA-CHING CHA-CHING…? …Just so I have a better idea of what I can ask for. All for freedom and democracy, and everything.”
