MOSCOW (Armenpress)–Armenian Defense Minister Serge Sarkisian announced during an interview on Tuesday–that he would applaud expansion of cooperation between Russia and Armenia in the field of military technology.
Sarkisian–who was in Moscow for a reception at the Armenian embassy marking the 12th anniversary of Armenian armed forces–said in an interview with Itar-Tass–"We are not fully satisfied with the level of present collaboration in this sector that has the potential to be high-level." Sarkisian indicated that a long-term–detailed outline for military technology cooperation between the two countries can even be formulated in 2004.
Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov is due to visit Yerevan in June 2004.
