YEREVAN (Arka)—Armenia’s consul general to Los Angeles, Sergey Sarkisov, and brother Nikolay Sarkisov are the fourth richest family in Russia with a total fortune of $2.7 billion, according to the Russian edition of Forbes. The brothers are owners of Russia’s RESO Holding Company and built their wealth on establishing the insurance sector in the post-Soviet Russian economy.
The richest Russian family are brothers Arkady and Boris Rotenberg with a fortune estimated at $5.55 billion. The second richest family with $4.85 billion are the Gutseriev brothers –Mikhail, Sait-Salam and Khamzat and their nephew Mikail Shishhanov. Brothers Alexey and Dmitry Ananiev are third with a joint fortune of $4.6 billion.
The aggregate wealth of the 10 richest families in Russia is estimated at $26.3 billion. For comparison, the aggregate wealth of the 10 richest families in the United States is $530 billion.
im not proud of that if they have luxury life in russian not usefull for us no any investment and opportunity in armenia citizens of armenia….
Is he volunteering for this job, or getting money from our poor government? It is good to know, Mr.Sarkisov.
Does this wealth benefit humanity? If not, who cares how rich they are!! I hope it is all being put to good use. How about creating an award for a socially relevant film that deals with some human interest story to help make a social impact for positive change.
Just an idea.
It is not important that Armenians are proud of them, what imports is that they be proud of beeing Armenians, if they are, to send a helping hand to Armenians which they are in need badly .
