DOMESTIC VIOLENCE–HIV–CHILD DISABILITIES– CHILD TRAFFICKING TOPICS OF DISCUSSION
WATERTOWN–The Armenian Relief Society Inc.–announced it will hold–under the auspices of Armenian First Lady Dr. Bella Kocharian–its second non-governmental organization (NGO) conference in Yerevan on September 25–from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Congress Hotel. Following last year’s inaugural conference–the ARS-sponsored event will unite several NGOs to discuss progress made in the areas of domestic violence–HIV–child disabilities and child trafficking–and make recommendations for future projects
Opening speakers will include the Armenian First Lady–US Ambassador to Armenia John Ordway–and ARS Central Executive Chair Maro Minassian. A report on the progress in the four areas of concentration–domestic violence–HIV–child disabilities and child trafficking–will be made by members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The opening speakers and the report from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will make up the morning portion of the conference and workshops in the four areas will comprise the afternoon segment.
