YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A Polish-Armenian deputy group including 13 influential deputies representing all political parties in Poland was formed in the Polish Seim on June 8.
Secretary of the Left-Wing Democratic Union–Vice-Chairman of the Committee for Cultural Affairs–member of the Foreign Affairs Committee–member of the Polish delegation to the CE Interparliamentary Assembly–Andrey Urbancik was elected chairman of the group.
Head of the Polish delegation to the CE Interparliamentary Assembly–deputy of the ruling Solidarity party–Martin Libinsky–spokesman of the Liberty Union Anrey Potozky–and deputy from the Peasant Party Voitzekh Shchesny-Zazcitsky were elected vice-chairmen of the group.
The group intends to launch large-scale activities aimed at strengthening Polish-Armenian ties. The group will organize mutual visits. One of the main goals of the group will be assisting Armenia in its integration into European structures.
