YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Chairman of the Board of the Armenian National Movement Vano Siradeghian–who is running for parliament in N75 electoral district in Tavoush region–began his meetings with would-be voters.
Meeting with voters in Noyemberian–Siradeghian said that 10 years ago Noyemberian residents needed him–today he needs their support. He also said that when he was Interior Minister–Noyemberian residents enjoyed privileges as compared to residents of other regions. Siradeghian said that it did not befit him to hide from the law enforcement agencies. He also said that he would prove that he is clean.
Speaking of the Karabakh conflict–Siradeghian said that final victory has not yet been achieved. Only Karabakh’s security was ensured–according to Siradeghian. He did not rule out the possibility of resumption of war–noting that because of the Karabakh problem Armenia has to face isolation: "Now there is nobody beside us. Everybody has washed their hands off and provide us with bread only." In response to Siradeghian’s gloomy forecasts–one of those present said: "You have just added to our fears."
Siradeghian said that he decided to run for parliament because "Armenia is facing hard times and parliament needs experienced people."
