LOS ANGELES–The administration of the Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian school announced a generous donation of $10,000 by long-time benefactor Siranoush Manoukian to the school’s Marie Postoian Pre-School.
The administration added that it has been fortunate to have the continued moral and financial support from the Manoukian family in realizing the school’s goals and enhancing the academic program in place at the school.
"By being present at the Marie Postoian pre-school year-end festivities and being moved by the performances of the students–among whom is gran’son Manouk Manoukian–Mrs. Manoukian decided to make the generous contribution," said Pilibos principal Viken Yacoubian.
"In their effort to realize their mission–Armenian schools stop at nothing to ensure that their students are provided the fundamentals of Armenian education. In this realm–it is important and encouraging to see that individuals in the community are motivated and moved by the school’s activities and take part in advancing them through their moral and financial assistance," added Yacoubian.
The principal added that such initiatives play an important role in the success of the school’s educational activities.
"Throughout the years–Siranoush Manoukian–and the Manoukian family in general–have been close friends of our institution–and through their generosity have underscored their conviction in the mission of our school," concluded Yacoubian.
