ANCA Communications Director

Social networking applications, such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, powerfully leverage our already highly-networked Armenian American community, providing free, new, and exciting avenues to develop open communication, foster greater understanding, develop mutual respect, and facilitate practical cooperation toward shared goals:

Get wired into the ANCA and energize the Armenian Cause by taking the ANCA Twitter Challenge and following the 5 free, quick, and easy steps listed below.

ANCA Twitter Challenge:

Take part in the ANCA’s Twitter challenge by writing a tweet, in 140 characters or less, explaining why the U.S. should recognize the Armenian Genocide. Make sure to put #anca in your tweet — which will allow us to group all of the tweet entries for this contest and future ANCA related efforts.

The best entries will be posted on the ANCA website, the ANCA Facebook page, and, of course, re-Tweeted on the anca_dc account. The winning entry will be announced next Friday, November 20th at 3:00pm EST.

If you are not already a member of Twitter, visit https://twitter.com/signup to sign up for free.

After taking the Twitter Challenge, network yourself and your friends with these 5 simple steps.

1)  Facebook:

a)  Join the ANCA Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/ANCA/16968936858

b)  Temporarily change your Facebook profile picture to the “Countdown to Erdogan” image.

c)  Write a Facebook status update today about “Countdown to Erdogan” and include the website www.anca.org/countdown.

2) Twitter

a)  Follow ANCA_DC on Twitter: http://twitter.com/anca_dc

b)  Tweet about “Countdown to Erdogan” and include the website www.anca.org/countdown

c)  Take the ANCA Twitter Challenge by writing a tweet, in 140 characters or less, explaining why the U.S. should recognize the Armenian Genocide. Include #anca in your tweet, so that everyone can find and read your message.

3) LinkedIN:

a)  Join LinkedIn’s Armenian National Committee of America group: http://www.linkedin.com/

b)  Send messages to fellow LinkedIN members about the “Countdown to Erdogan.”

4) YouTube

a)  Become a member of the ANCA Grassroots channel on YouTube:  http://www.youtube.com/ancagrassroots

b)  Encourage your friends to watch your favorite ANCA Grassroots videos.

5)  ANCA email list:

a)  Join the ANCA email list http://www.capwiz.com/anca/mlm/signup

b)  Send this link to friends along with your personal suggestion that they join the ANCA email list.

Don’t stop here.  There’s a lot more to be done.

Be Creative.

Think of other innovative ways to advance the Armenian Cause through social networking.  And, of course, share your ideas with the ANCA and the entire Armenian American community.
