GLENDALE–A Community Health Fair–tailored to the needs of low income families within the community–will be held on Saturday–June 5–from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Armenian Apostolic Church–500 S. Central Avenue in Glendale.
The Health Fair is organized by the Armenian American Medical Society of California in collaboration with the Greater Hollywood Health Partnership/QueensCare–the Armenian American Nurses Association and Assemblymember Scott Wildman’s 43rd District Office. The Fair will offer screenings for blood sugar–blood pressure–cholesterol–vision–mammography–and more. In addition–visitors will have the opportunity for a free consultation with multilingual specialists in gynecology–chiropractic–urology–cardiology–psychology–internal medicine–nutrition–and other disciplines.
"For some people health care is either too expensive or too difficult to obtain," said Assemblymember Scott Wildman–who represents Burbank–Glendale and parts of Los Angeles. "This Community Health Fair is a great opportunity for local residents to get a good check up."
The sponsors for the Health Fair include Glendale Adventist Medical Center–Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center–Queen of Angels Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center and Armenian General Benevolent Union.
