YEREVAN(Armenpress)–An expert of Berlin’s Free University Eastern Europe Institute–doctor of philosophy Tessa Hoffman was awarded the title of an honorable professor of the Yerevan Hrachya Acharyan University. University Rector Avag Khachatrian awarded the title during an international scientific conference entitled "Armenian Problems In The 21st Century: Problems And Prospects," held on May 29 at the Yerevan Chamber Music House.
Hoffman made a report titled "The Armenian Genocide: Historiography and International Recognition." Doctor of Philology–Professor Karlen Dallakian and Head of the Buenos Aires Mari Manukian Educational Center Rosita Yusufian also made reports at the conference.
The scientific conference will last three days. Armenian and foreign scientists will make more than 30 reports on history–international relations–philosophy–economics–language and literature.
Avag Khachatrian said that much attention is paid to the Armenian problem at Hrachya Acharyan University. A center of the Armenian problem and Armenian Genocide is established in the university–which has published different researches in many volumes–organized a number of international and local scientific conferences–worked out programs and plans. Cooperation relations have been established between the university and different organizations of Diaspora.
