YEREVAN (Armenpress)–Three Armenian film directors are participating in this year’s Cannes film festival, which began on Wednesday and will run through May 25.
They are Canadian Armenian director Atom Egoyan, Diana Mkrtchian from Russia and Arman Tadevosian of Armenia.
Atom Egoyan has submitted to the festival his "Adoration" film, a drama about young people who try to communicate through Internet and short telephone messages (SMS). His wife, Arsine Egoyan, plays one of the main characters.
Diana Mkrtchian will present her 33-minute-long documentary called "GATA", while Arman Tadevosian will take to Cannes a short film called "Transformation".
Tadevosian’s 10-minute long film was shot in Kars and tells about the transformation of cultures and civilizations in this city located in historical Western Armenia.
