MOUSH, Turkey (News.am)–Turkey’s Minister of Transport and Communications threatened on Monday to “gouge the eye set on [Turkey’s] lands” during remarks made on a visit to the historic Armenian city of Moush, under Turkish occupation since the Armenian Genocide of 1915, news.am reported.
“When Turkey quarreled with its neighbors it had no friend. But now we have normalized relations with Syria, started military cooperation with Iraq and are developing relations with Iran, Russia and Armenia. The Armenian Diaspora, however, is laying claim to Turkish territories. We are not going to harm anyone, but we will gouge the eye set on our lands,” Binali Yildrim was quoted by the Turkish Vatan newspaper as saying.
