YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Trilateral Armenia-Turkmen’stan-Iran negotiations were the main topic of a meeting attended by a Turkmen delegation headed by Vice Premier and Foreign Minister of Turkmen’stan Boris Shihmouradov on Tuesday during a meeting in Yerevan.
"Armenia-Turkmen’stan relations are progressing dynamically. They have very good prospects," said Shihmouradov.
Historical reports about trade and cultural relations between East and West civilizations crossing over Iran–Armenia and Turkmen’stan were submitted during this meeting.
Shihmouradov said that during the past five years–the nations have returned to their roots.
"We have an equal commonwealth of nations and now feel a necessity to reinstall our ancient traditions," he said.
The trilateral agreement signed by the presidents of the three countries last year in the Iranian city of Bandar-Abbas is only recently being implemented.
The agreement calls for cooperation in the areas of transport–trade and energy.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of China to Armenia–Jan Kezhun–Armenia’s Foreign Minister–Alexander Arzoumanian and Charge d’ Affairs of Armenia to Turkmen’stan–Aram Grigorian–among others.
