turks-stage-second-protest-against-israeli-ambassador-in-as-2009-11-05_lANKARA (AP)–Turks have staged a second protest against Israel’s ambassador in as many days in a public display of anger against Israel over the Gaza war.

Private TV 24 channel showed on Thursday dozens of Turks shouting “murderer Israel” as Ambassador Gabby Levy visited the mayor’s office in the northern town of Gumushane as part of his Black Sea tour on Thursday.

HaberTurk television reported that Levy’s car was pelted with eggs a day before during a visit to a university in the city of Trabzon. He left without emerging from his car but came back after police detained about 30 protesters who later staged an unauthorized sit-in.

Relations between Israel and Turkey have soured since Israel’s war against Islamic militants in Gaza earlier this year.
