LOS ANGELES—UCLA Musicology Department’s Ciro Zoppo Research Fellowship encourages the study and performance of the works of lesser-known composers. This year’s Ciro Zoppo event will be dedicated to Soviet and Armenian pedagogue, music theorist, composer, and ophthalmologist Eduard Pashinyan. It will be an afternoon of music—rarely performed worldwide and essentially unknown in North America.
The event will take place at the UCLA’s Mo Ostin Music Center on June 1, at 3:30pm.
Performers include Xenia Deviatkina-Loh (violin); Dawn Marie Hamilton (clarinet); Dzovig Markarian (piano); and members of the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music (choral singers)
Admission is free of charge.
Address: 445 Charles E Young Dr. E, Los Angeles, CA 90095
A nearby parking is conveniently available in Lot 2 (corner of Hilgard and Westholme), for a max of $12 dollars.
