VAN, Turkey (Anatolian News Agency)–The burial chambers of Urartian King Argishti I and his family in the western wing of an ancient castle in the eastern Turkish province of Van have been opened for the first time.
“The burial chamber is in the western part of Van castle and bears the workmanship of the highest quality. It is reached through a 24-step staircase,” said Rafet Çavuşoğlu, a professor at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University’s Archaeology Department.
King Argishti I was buried in a rock burial chamber called “Horhor Cave,” said the professor, who specially opened the doors to the graves to Anatolia news agency.
Van castle, which is 120 meters by 80 meters and was built on a rocky peak along Lake Van, has been the site of recent excavations headed by lecturer Altan Çilingiroğlu of Ege University.
Çavuşoğlu said Urartian writing on the wall of the burial chamber was very interesting.
“There are nail holes in spaces between doors opening to the chambers inside. These holes were used to hang torches and gifts,” said the Yüzüncü Yıl professor. “There are four inner chambers and each chamber has four alcoves on the walls. The location of the alcoves and doors and the dimension of the chambers are similar to each other.”
He said religious ceremonies were held in the hall in burial chambers and valuable objects were buried in the adjacent chambers.
“The burial chambers are described as caves in the 17th-century Ottoman plan and Evliya Çelebi’s travel book. They served as an armory, a food depot and a workshop in the time of the Ottomans,” he said.
Before kingdom in ancient times
Centered in the Armenian Highlands, now under Turkish occupation, the Kingdom of Urartu ruled between the ninth and sixth centuries B.C. until its defeat by Media in the early 6th century B.C. The best monuments of Urartu exist in Van as the city was the capital of the kingdom with the name Tushpa.
Referred to as the Kingdom of Ararat in Hebrew, Urartu spanned beyond present day Turkey to include the current Republic of Armenia, where the Erebuni city and fortress are located in the Armenian capital of Yerevan. The Urartians are the ancient ancestors of the Armenians.
The ancient castle, which has traces of a 3,000-year-old civilization and is composed of five separate sections, draws hundreds of visitors from Turkey and overseas every year. However, the burial chambers of Urartian King Argishti I and his family are kept closed to visitors.
Argishti I was the sixth known king of the ancient kingdom, reigning from 786 B.C. to 764 B.C. As the son and the successor of Menua, he continued a series of conquests initiated by his predecessors. Victorious against the Assyrians, he conquered the northern part of Syria and made Urartu the most powerful state in the post-Hittite Near East.

Zungi, not only the turkish news-sites forgot to mention an important fact, also ASBAREZ did!
The burial chambers of Urartian King Argishti I and his family are kept closed to visitors, only Anatolian News Agency was allowed in to take photographs of the graves’ interior!
Asbarez should have researched & critisized the secrecy of the Turks and ask in this article “Where are the secretive photographs which Anatolian News Agency exclusively took”, instead of not mentioning this fact with one word.

IN THE 15th CENTURY B.C. THERE WAS A KINGDOM CALLED –
    – KURRI-MITTANNI –
    THAT IS – KURDISTAN-MEDIA – !!!.
SO KURRI OR THE HURRIANS IS THE SAME PEOPLE CALLED – URARTIANS-.
The Urartians are the ancient ancestors of the Armenians.
    THEY ARE CERTAINLY NOT –
    Genesis 10
Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and unto them were sons born after the flood.
2The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
3And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.
    THE ARMENIANS/TOGARMAHNS –
    ARE DESCENDANTS OF GOMER –
THE FOREFATHER OF ALL GERMAN PEOPLES.
THE URARTIANS OR KURDS ARE DESCENDANTS OF
    – MADAI –
THE FOREFATHER OF ALL MEDIAN PEOPLES –
THE KURDS – PERSIANS – SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL PAKISTANIS – INDIANS.

IN LATER HISTORY THE WHERE CALLED – GOMERIANS – KIMERIANS – CIMERIANS – CIMBRIANS,
COMPARE THE GAELIC/CELTIC NAME OF – WALES – GUMRU OR CUMRU.
THE CELTIC PEOIPLE TOOK THEIR NAME AFTER THEIR FATHER – GOMER -.
      FURTHER –
ASHKENAZ – THAT IS – OSGRUSIA – OF TODAY – OSETISTAEN AND GEORGIA,
THIS IS THE OLD – ASGÅRD – BY THE VIKINGS IN SCANDINAVIA.
ASHKENAZ IS THE JEWIS NAME OF TODAYS GERMANY.

THE GREECIANS CALLED THE – SKOLOTS,
THE ROMANS CALLED THEM – SKYTIANS,
FROM WHOS NAME – SCANDINAVIA – IS DERIVED.

        Dear Arn,
I think the whole purpose of your reply is to mislead any non Armenian reader. I say again; Stop medling in something you do not understand. Stop making wild alegation based on the Old Testament.
Kurds and Turks are relatively speaking “new commers” in Armenia and adjacent areas. The kingdom of Ourartou and the kingdom of Nayiri are the Old Armenian kingdoms and we are still discovering new facts about them.
This land belongs to Armenia, not to Turkey nor Kurdistan. These are our forefathers, not the Turk’s nor the Kurd’s.
So, please stop making wild guesses and stop medling.

Kurds are of the Chaldean ‘J’ DNA that were the Sumerians of the Chaldees and Sumerian/Samaritan jews. Sumerians=Cimmerians are of the same people and land. See map. Turkey was of the Adamics, as the Hittites-Canaanites living in Aryan lands. Iran claims to be of the Arian Caucasian people and fought with the Arians in Germany in WWII. Greeks called Hellens are Aryan but with many Adamics with in their land. Scythians were previously of the Mede Empire (per Bible) of Japheth, Shem, with the 10 Israel northern tribes that the Assyrians placed them with. This was the same lands of the “Land of Cush” was located in. The Thracians were of the Arians that conquered the Sumerian Empire time and time again. Alexander The Great had conquered the lands all the way to India. This was of the same land as the Mede Empire to the Adamics of the present Baluchistan from Iran into India. Now it is but a small province in Pakistan.

      Dear Arn,
Before making wild guesses, such as transforming the Hurri-Mittani to the Kurds ancestor, at least have the decency of quoting correctly the Old Testament. Nowhere is it mentionned in the Genesis 10 that Kurds or Armenians are decendents of this or that of Noah’s sons or grandsons.
So please have the decency and stop medling in something that you do not understand.

It is very sad that up todate Turkish are denying to return our sacred land they can’t have tourists visiting our heritage on behalf of Armenian fortresses, our cathedral, churches, after demoloshing, burining people live during 1915 Genocide, we should claim to Internatiional court of justice, these belong to us from the start of Armenia/Urartu they are our ancestors. They don’t belong to Jenkizkhan Mongols, Seljuks who by savagery seized all our cultural wealth, where is UNESCO or what our Ambassador in United can by negotiating with the UN where there is only by name!! it is not powerful as used to be!! We have to struggle with all the proves that these lands returned to us, let Turkery get advantage to use its tactics by mockering Armenians and the whole world in Armenians name. Why Armenians have to pay for Turkish visa when visiting their own land? It is our home we need no visa, Turkish govt. should understand us not by showing force we had enough of them, we don’t need to ask them to open the boarders, they were the ones closed for Azeri’s sake who started war another savagery ethnic which i really don’t understand their real history and where they are coming from!!!! some 100 yr old country who by his oil threatens by the backing of Turks to forcefully take back Artsakh/Karabagh which never belonged to them.. their savage President who is the most ignorant person i want to see his face online or in any network..Now we understand that US will never recognize 1915 Armenian Genocide, but our struggle will never stop here, we must change our policy our work is with Turkish govt. who occupies our land, we need to know full history of our ancestors by names, the whole world go back thousands of years deep to find out which family from which Kingdom our ancestors belonged. we should put pressure on Turkish govt. to open our cencus archives for us our children, generations, to get to know exactly all our loved ones, their real names, what year they were born, their pictures which shows on their legal papers, i myself, don’t believe that they don’t have hidden archives but they claim that all thrown into seas, i, as a child of orphan survivors to demand and have the full human right to know my all family members’ names and what was theiroccupation to built our family tree.. this is the dream of all Armenians not mine only.. or else present Turkish govt. wants eagerly to show its mussles to turn the Ottoman Empire to swallow the world by barbaric & brutal war to expand its terrotiry, expanding their families on whose account? we know everything they had nothing but robbing US Tax payers money where over a million & half Armenians there still taxed by US then going into ignorant Turkish leaders pockets, thery are liars they learnt how to robe wealth from any means they can. All i want to finish with that we have strong determinitation won’t give up until we bring our Ararat Mountain home which includes in Wilsonian map, sooner or later, we Armenians have to work towards return of our lands and collatoral damages Turkey caused to Armenian in all aspect which we carry with us till the end.

Kingdoms came and went with their aristocracies,
some times one tribe dominated and other times another tribe..

There were Seven Original Nairian Tribes, not one.

The Chaldeans of the Chaldees have been given control of Turkey after WWI. They are of the Shi’ite-Kurds and Samaritan jews that control their Celtic controlled U.N. and NATO Forces. If ever the Adamic and Akkadian mix races join together, that is, the Palestinians, Sunni and Pashtuns and all the Adamics in Europe and America, along with the Africans and Asians, the Celt-Chaldean will continue to build their Cimmerian/Sumerian World Empire again. It is called the United Nation’s One World Order.

    Compliance status

We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability.

To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Complying with those guidelines helps us ensure that the website is accessible to all people: blind people, people with motor impairments, visual impairment, cognitive disabilities, and more.

This website utilizes various technologies that are meant to make it as accessible as possible at all times. We utilize an accessibility interface that allows persons with specific disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs.

Additionally, the website utilizes an AI-based application that runs in the background and optimizes its accessibility level constantly. This application remediates the website’s HTML, adapts Its functionality and behavior for screen-readers used by the blind users, and for keyboard functions used by individuals with motor impairments.

If you’ve found a malfunction or have ideas for improvement, we’ll be happy to hear from you. You can reach out to the website’s operators by using the following email

    Screen-reader and keyboard navigation

Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements, alongside console screenshots of code examples:

    1. Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all of the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. It will also extract texts that are embedded within the image, using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on as soon as they enter the website.

These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.

    2. Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside of it.

Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

Disability profiles supported in our website

    • Epilepsy Safe Mode: this profile enables people with epilepsy to use the website safely by eliminating the risk of seizures that result from flashing or blinking animations and risky color combinations.
    • Visually Impaired Mode: this mode adjusts the website for the convenience of users with visual impairments such as Degrading Eyesight, Tunnel Vision, Cataract, Glaucoma, and others.
    • Cognitive Disability Mode: this mode provides different assistive options to help users with cognitive impairments such as Dyslexia, Autism, CVA, and others, to focus on the essential elements of the website more easily.
    • ADHD Friendly Mode: this mode helps users with ADHD and Neurodevelopmental disorders to read, browse, and focus on the main website elements more easily while significantly reducing distractions.
    • Blindness Mode: this mode configures the website to be compatible with screen-readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. A screen-reader is software for blind users that is installed on a computer and smartphone, and websites must be compatible with it.
    • Keyboard Navigation Profile (Motor-Impaired): this profile enables motor-impaired persons to operate the website using the keyboard Tab, Shift+Tab, and the Enter keys. Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

Additional UI, design, and readability adjustments

    1. Font adjustments – users, can increase and decrease its size, change its family (type), adjust the spacing, alignment, line height, and more.
    2. Color adjustments – users can select various color contrast profiles such as light, dark, inverted, and monochrome. Additionally, users can swap color schemes of titles, texts, and backgrounds, with over 7 different coloring options.
    3. Animations – epileptic users can stop all running animations with the click of a button. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs, and CSS flashing transitions.
    4. Content highlighting – users can choose to emphasize important elements such as links and titles. They can also choose to highlight focused or hovered elements only.
    5. Audio muting – users with hearing devices may experience headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playing. This option lets users mute the entire website instantly.
    6. Cognitive disorders – we utilize a search engine that is linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary, allowing people with cognitive disorders to decipher meanings of phrases, initials, slang, and others.
    7. Additional functions – we provide users the option to change cursor color and size, use a printing mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and many other functions.

    Browser and assistive technology compatibility

We aim to support the widest array of browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so our users can choose the best fitting tools for them, with as few limitations as possible. Therefore, we have worked very hard to be able to support all major systems that comprise over 95% of the user market share including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera and Microsoft Edge, JAWS and NVDA (screen readers), both for Windows and for MAC users.

All this is meant to reach the optimal level of accessibility, following technological advancements. For any assistance, please reach out to
