WASHINGTON—The United States on Wednesday called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to accept an invitation to hold a summit in Paris to try to resolve the frozen conflict of Nagorno Karabakh.
State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki appealed to both countries to accept an invitation from French President Francois Hollande “to hold a summit in Paris as soon as possible.”
“As a co-chair, we’re committed to helping both sides reach a peaceful settlement to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. It’s our hope that the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will accept French President Hollande’s invitation to hold a summit in Paris as soon as possible, and that they will agree to structured negotiations that will lead to a peace agreement,” she said.
“We call on both sides to redouble their efforts at the negotiation table and to focus on the benefits that peace will bring to people across the region,” Psaki added.
“Obviously inflammatory rhetoric and statements run counter the principle of reducing tensions,” Psaki added.
Hey Psaki you imbecile stooge, stop calling on “both” sides with your skewed double talk, there is only one side constantly being aggressive and posturing it’s the Azeris. Our President has never publicly made statements about going to war but he is ready and willing to defend against any transgression and WIN A SECOND TIME.
Are you reading this you Azeri mutts?!?!?! This time we will have a public hanging of Aliev in Baku and push the rest of you animals into the sea! Quit while you are ahead!! Tell your masters to do the same!!!
How does one negotiate with a north koreanesque delusional dictator that some how believes Armenia, a nearly 3,000 year old civilization, is occupying “historical” Azerbaijani lands when Azerbaijan and it’s ethnic identity was created in 1918? And even more troublesome is their desire to completely eliminate that nearly 3,000 year old civilization through physical and cultural genocide.
3000 year old is a misnomer, we must let go if this inn accuracy. There are Persian and pre Persian stone tablets dating back 5500- 6500 years that make explicit mention of “Armenians”.
when did we (Armenians) stop talking? even though we should have after the many incidents of attack and infiltration on our border and the ramil safarov incident.
we have to start DEMANDING fair treatment, and for the mediators to call a spade a spade and condemn Azerbaijan for its war mongering.
