YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan) — The US Agency for International Development and the international "Save the Children" organization have started restoring the Stepanavan office of the "Save the Children."
Sarkis Manoukian–head of the project–said that the Stepanavan office in Armenia’s Lori region– has already carried out a number of projects proposed by the local communities.
The Kourtan clinic has been repaired–agrotechnical measures and potato sowing for the collective farms of Bovadzor have started–an electric mill has been installed in Gyargyar–the "Chakharak" children’s magazine is being published in Stepanakert and Tashir and a water pipeline is expected to be reconstructed in the village of Amrakits as a result of the group’s efforts–Manoukian said.
In addition–an electric gauge has been mounted in Ledzhan and a cattle-breeding farm has been created in Khopardzi. The office plans to implement similar projects in other communities of the region in the future.
