Primary elections in Los Angeles and other cities are scheduled for March 3.
As active members of this city, Armenian-Americans should actively take part and vote. Reports have indicated that of the more than 20,000 registered voters in Los Angeles only 3,000 turned in the November General Elections. That is a dismal turn out to say the least.
Elected officials, especially the ANC-PAC-endorsed Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa have not only advocated issues of interest to the Armenian-American community, but have also recognized the important role we play and the potential our community has in shaping the future of this city.
Making our voices heard by taking part in the election process is the most sure fire way to strengthen our imprint in this city we call home.
