On the passing of Savey Tufenkian, longtime sponsor and founding benefactor of Richard Tufenkian Preschool, Western Prelate Bishop Torkom Donoyan and the Religious and Executive Councils convey their condolences to her husband Ralph, children Greg and Sandra and families, brother Kosti and family, grandchildren and extended family and friends.
Savey Tufenkian was awarded the Holy See of Cilicia “Prince of Cilicia” medal by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I for her extensive benevolence to our nation. She was also the first Armenian woman in the Western region to be awarded the “Ellis Island Medal of Honor” in 2002.
