The Forty Martyrs Armenian Church has taken great strides since our last report sometime in the beginning of the year. Some of the accomplishments are noticeable immediately. However, collectively these undertakings will certainly have their long term effects on the community. The effects of the seemingly isolated accomplishments have already left marks of success in the community.
Since our last report, The Pastor, Rev. Fr. Karekin Bedourian and Board of Trustees, as promised, installed two 70” TV monitors in the church. Via these monitors, the Divine Liturgy is being broadcasted in English and Armenian. A description of the Divine Liturgy is also broadcasted through the monitors. The Pastor and Board of Trustees were very passionate about this project, because it underlines the importance of bringing our church and its Sunday Service to our community and especially to the younger generation. This project was made possible with the $10,000 generous donation from longtime supporters of the community and devotees of the Forty Martyrs Armenian Church Mr. and Mrs. Vazken and Meline Najarian.
We’d also like to thank Shant and Mihran Arslanians for their dedication, research, and technical support. Thank you to all parties who contributed to the realization of this important project, as it made us take another step, among many others to come, in delivering the Armenian Church and Faith to the people.
Also, as a result of the diligent and meticulous work of one of the dedicated members of the church and a longtime Deacon, Garo Kilejian, the Board of Trustees was able to install a new sound system in the church.
Finally, the Pastor and Board of Trustees embarked on a campaign to educate the community and parishioners on the importance of paying their annual dues, which above all, emphasizes our collective moral obligation towards the Armenian Church.
