YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–"Many World Bank projects are implemented better in Armenia than in any other region," World Bank Regional Director Judy O’Connor told reporters Thursday.
O’Connor drew the conclusion that agriculture development projects are preferable since Armenia’s lands are fertile and ideal for growing various fruits and vegetables. At the same time she stressed the importance of having a good storage and processing system for the fruits.
O’Connor called her meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan "Impressive." She pointed out that Sargssian has already spotted the major problems in Armenia and solutions "I have told the Prime Minister that we will do everything in our power for Armenia’s economic development," stated O’Connor.
