GLENDALE–The Armenian Revolutionary Federation’s Western US Central Committee hosted Armenia’s newly-appointed Diaspora Minister Hranoush Hakopyan during a reception Friday evening at the Peshekerian Center.
In welcoming Hakopyan to the center, ARF Western US Central Committee chairman Avedik Izmirlian said the creation of a ministry that directly deals with the Diaspora was very encouraging and expressed the ARF’s willingness to work with the ministry in its endeavors.
Hakopyan discussed the mission of the ministry and its willingness to reach out to all elemen’s within the Diaspora for the fruition of the mission.
Also participating at the reception were representatives from the 16 ARF chapters in Southern California, the Prelacy Executive Council, the Board of Regents of Armenian Schools, the Armenian National Committee-Western US, the Armenian Youth Federation, the Armenian Relief Society, the Homenetmen, the Hamazkayin, Armenian Educational Foundation, the Davtian-Mariamian Education Fund, Armenian Writers Union and other community members.
Hakopyan also met with representatives of compatriotic unions, who were gathered at center.
