I was 12 years old and attended with my father the late Haik Ter-Ghevondian, philologist / art historian. Even now I remember, it was the day that Kourken Yanikian handed the Turkish Council General, his now famous letter. For an Armenian youth it was the most somber and soul effecting day of my life. I will hold on to the feeling for the rest of my days.
