Chamlian 8th graders in the new Horizon studio

LITTLE ARMENIA–The 8th grade class from Chamlian Armenian school visited the Asabrez and Horizon offices Wednesday for a closer look at the operations here.

Some 60 students were accompanied by their teachers on this informative field trip, which featured a tour of the facility, and a brief explanation of Asbarez and Horizon. The students were treated to an in-depth look of our everyday operation and got a first-hand look at how Horizon broadcasts its program.

In conclusion, Asbarez Armenian Editor Apo Boghigian presented them with a take-home quiz regarding events and news of the day, which their teachers will grade as extra credit for participating students.

All schools are encouraged to bring students for a visit as we welcome visitors, especially young students interested in Armenia media.

Sixth graders from Holy Martyrs Ferrahian Armenian School made a similar visit to Asbarez and Horizon in December last year to present their newly published school newspaper produced and edited by the students.

Accompanied by their Armenian instructor Azadouhi Ghazarian and computer science teacher Rafi Hagopian, the students toured the Horizon studios and editorial offices of Asbarez and were also interviewed for a special segment for broadcast on Horizon.
