ANKARA (Combined Sources)–Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul will discuss his country’s proposed Caucasus platform and Turkish-Russian relations during his visit to Moscow in December.
“The talks will focus on the financial crisis. Our President will also address bilateral relations, as well as regional and international problems,” said Halil Akinci, Turkish Ambassador to Russia. He did not rule out that the Caucasus Stability and Corporation Platform will also be considered.
“There are too many people wanting to mediate for peace in the Caucasus. However, the Turkish initiative is unique, since it covers the countries of the region, namely Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia, and will be based on OSCE norms,” he said, RIA Novosti reports.
