YEREVAN (ArmRadio)–Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian discussed “issues of mutual interest on Tuesday with US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice.
The conversation, conducted via telephone call, was initiated by Rice, who heads the US State Department tasked with crafting and implementing US Foreign policy.
The President’s press office did not provide further information on their discussion, which follows an earlier meeting between the two in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly on September 23.
Armenia’s Prime Minister, Tigran Sargsyan, also met with Rice in Washington earlier in October for talks on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, US-Armenia relations, and recent developmen’s in Armenia-Turkey relations. Sargsyan was in Washington on a 5 day visit meeting with various top US officials, including Vice President Dick Cheney.
